I do a fairly nasty 50 km daily commute to work and currently use maxxis detonator tires.  However one on the back has been completely wrecked by glass..

I have changed the back one with a continental ultra gatorskin 700cc 23  The tire seems strong and has from what i can see good punture resistance compared to the maxxis.

Does anyone have any help or tips to give on what type of tire is good for a 50 km daily commute with loads of accident damage, glass and tram tracks all over the road

I’m a bike messenger in so-cal and I am riding an (armadillo) on the back of my road bike. It is a strong tire, highly recommended. It’ all purpose and is considered light for it’s strength. Search
on google for “Specialized Nimbus Armadillo Tire”
They come in different sizes.
